Using the System Tray
Finding the System Tray Icon
When Monwurx is running, you'll see a small icon in your system tray (also called the notification area):
- Windows: Bottom-right corner of your taskbar, near the clock
- Mac: Top-right corner of your menu bar
- Linux: Typically in the top or bottom panel, depending on your desktop environment
Tip: If you don't see the icon, it may be hidden. On Windows, click the up arrow (^) in the system tray to show hidden icons.
Tray Icon Status Colors
| Color | Status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | Active | Tracking is active and syncing normally |
| 🟡 Yellow | Privacy Mode | Privacy mode is enabled, tracking paused |
| 🔴 Red | Offline | Not connected to server, data will sync when reconnected |
| ⚪ Gray | Idle | No activity detected for extended period |
Right-Click Menu Options
Right-click the tray icon to access these quick actions:
- View Today's Activity: Opens a summary of your work today
- Toggle Privacy Mode: Quickly pause or resume tracking
- Take Manual Screenshot: Capture a screenshot immediately
- Open Dashboard: Launch the web dashboard in your browser
- Settings: Open the desktop client settings
- About: View version information and check for updates
- Quit: Close the desktop client
Note: Quitting the desktop client will stop all tracking. Your administrator may be notified if tracking stops during work hours.
Double-Click Action
Double-clicking the tray icon opens the Activity Viewer, which shows:
- Your current status and tracking time today
- Recent screenshots taken
- Application usage breakdown
- Productivity score for the day
