Understanding the Activity Viewer
Opening the Activity Viewer
Access the Activity Viewer in any of these ways:
- Double-click the system tray icon
- Right-click tray icon → "View Today's Activity"
- Use the keyboard shortcut:
Ctrl+Shift+M(Windows/Linux) orCmd+Shift+M(Mac)
Activity Viewer Sections
Today's Summary
At the top of the viewer, you'll see:
- Total Work Time: Hours tracked today
- Active Time: Time with actual keyboard/mouse activity
- Idle Time: Time with no activity detected
- Productivity Score: Percentage based on productive app usage
Timeline View
The timeline shows your activity throughout the day with color-coded blocks:
| Color | Category | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | Productive | Code editors, document editing, work tools |
| 🟡 Yellow | Neutral | File browsers, system settings, uncategorized apps |
| 🔴 Red | Unproductive | Social media, games, entertainment sites |
| ⚫ Gray | Idle/Break | No activity detected |
Screenshots Gallery
View screenshots taken throughout the day. You can:
- Click any thumbnail to view full-size
- Use arrow keys to navigate between screenshots
- See the timestamp and active application for each screenshot
Privacy: Screenshots are stored securely and only visible to you and authorized administrators.
Application Usage
A breakdown of time spent in each application, sorted by duration. Click any app to see:
- When you used the app during the day
- How the app is categorized
- Window titles visited within the app
Filtering and Navigation
Use these controls to explore your data:
- Date Picker: View activity from previous days
- Category Filter: Show only productive, neutral, or unproductive time
- Search: Find specific applications or websites
- Export: Download your activity data as CSV or PDF
