Retention Periods by Plan

What Happens After Retention?
When data exceeds its retention period:
- Screenshots: Permanently deleted from all storage
- Activity Data: Aggregated into summary statistics, then raw data deleted
- Reports: Archived or deleted based on settings
- Audit Logs: Compressed and archived, then eventually deleted
Custom Retention Settings
Enterprise customers can customize retention:
- Go to Settings → Data Management
- Click "Retention Settings"
- Adjust periods for each data type
- Set automatic deletion rules
- Click "Save Changes"
GDPR Tip: You can set shorter retention periods to comply with data minimization requirements.
Manual Data Deletion
You can delete data before the retention period expires:
- Individual Screenshots: Click delete on any screenshot
- Employee Data: Remove employee to delete all their data
- Bulk Deletion: Use Data Management → Bulk Delete
- Full Account: Request account deletion from support
Warning: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Exported backups are your responsibility.
Data Export Before Deletion
Before data is automatically deleted, you can:
- Export to CSV/PDF for records
- Set up automated exports before retention expiry
- Archive to your own storage via API
